Pirelli Tires
Pirelli Tires was founded in 1872 and is based in Milan, Italy. Pirelli's heritage includes an extensive background in racing and autosports; the company now serves as the exclusive tire supplier for the Formula One Championship. The wide tires are still the standard in sport and racing cars throughout Europe. They originally started out making scuba diving re-breathers, then later in the production history they focused more on the production of car tires and telecommunication cables.
Pirelli is the fifth-largest tire manufacturer in the world, behind Bridgestone, Michelin, Goodyear and Continental; the Italian-based company has 22 manufacturing facilities around the world.
